Caved Ceiling in La Marque, TX

The ceiling caved in on this poor man while sitting in his office. The water started leaking very slowly from an overhead pipe and then broke all at once. The cabinets and chair were soaked.

The pipe was a clean water source meaning that most of the damage was only in the ceiling. The pipe was fixed and the ceiling tiles were replaced.

However, the desk drawers needed replacing as they were made out of a composite wood which swelled up ruining them. Real wood can swell and return to normal. Composite wood cannot be replaced if it swells out of place. If we would have been called to this loss faster we might have been able to dry it out before it was ruined.
