Large Water Loss in Commercial Property

Many commercial properties are built to withstand the elements. It is normal to see metal studs in place of wood in a commercial property. The one problem that we find when dealing with metal studs is the base plate being a channel or trough. The water pools within the channel and moves throughout the building. We often find water yards away from where the initial loss had been suffered.

We use very sophisticated moisture meters to locate water wherever it may have turned up. In both cases in the above pictures the water had traveled leaving behind wet drywall that started to grow mold. Once mold is present the drywall must be removed and replaced.
